Daniel and Jess Hammond (who form the core of Insideout) have always had a heart to see others encounter the reality of God through music and worship. Both growing up in music and ministry contexts, they met in YWAM where this heart was really championed.

Daniel and Jess married in 2004 and toured Australia in 2006 in conjunction with Small House Records under the name ‘Jess Hammond’.

In 2008, under the name ‘Insideout’ they independently released the EP ‘The Story’ in 2008 and Album ‘Abide’ in 2011. Their song ‘Nouvm’ made it to the top 12 in the Praise Charts Christian Song Competition in 2013 and their latest release is a live DVD ‘Unfailing Love’.

They have toured broadly within Australia, playing within many church, festival and conference contexts such as the National Youth Ministry Convention and Melbourne’s Global Leadership Summit.

As well as their itinerant ministry Jess, Daniel and the team minister regularly at One Community Church Blackburn, where Jess serves as Worship Minister and Daniel on the media team.

Their vision statement is as follows:

When we draw near to God in honesty and allow him to strip back the layers,
that life has taught us to hide behind... Shine his light into the dark and hidden places »
« when we come with open hearts, open lives »
« when we come with all that we are and all that we have as an offering...

with expectancy »« We are drawn in by mercy, consumed by holiness and grace »
« we are unravelled... exposed...undone... restored...renewed...
made whole » « compelled outwards..

>>We are transformed from the insideout<<
